A View From the Top at Podcast Movement

This week at Podcast Movement Evolutions, we have assembled a group of top podcast executives to filter what’s going on and look around the corner for what’s next, and there is always plenty of that. This is the 9th time I have moderated the View From the Top panel at Podcast Movement. We always receive great feedback that this panel is a great set piece for the business of podcasting.

This time will be no exception. We have a strong and varied group of podcast leaders who will work through as many critical issues as possible in a limited time.

Drew Marcus is a Senior Advisor at Guggenheim Securities and has been involved in some of the biggest radio and podcasting deals. I always value his view. He brings great clarity, especially for a business that has hit a couple of speed bumps. We’ll talk about the deal space.

Jenna Weiss-Berman is running Audacy and Pineapple Media’s podcast initiatives. Despite a great deal of change – bankruptcy, restructuring, layoffs - Jenna is optimistic about where we are and will share why a lot of what happened might be a good thing.

Sarah van Mosel has had a front-row seat in the podcast biz from spending time at WNYC, Acast, iHeart, and others. Sarah is now back at SiriusXM, where the focus is on moving beyond the satellite platform, revitalizing its app, and developing a streaming strategy. Lately, there have been a lot of podcast related deals and quite a bit of chatter about SiriusXM. Plenty to talk about.

Dan Granger runs the podcast agency Oxford Road. I have had Dan speak at my NYU class, and his passion and vision are infectious. Where are we with key issues like last year’s challenging ad environment, brand safety, host read, and programmatic ads? Dan is a great and pragmatic advocate for podcasting’s unique ad story.

View From the Top is Wednesday, March 27, at 11am PT in Diamond 5. We hope you will join us.
